The secret history omnibus. Volume one, from the dawn of time to 1917

I just ran into the The secret history omnibus by Pécau, Jean-Pierre..   I had to read it I am big fan of secret history stories.

This is the synopsis from the publisher.

Four immortal brothers and sisters are entrusted with ivory cards in the dawn of prehistory by a dying shaman, and told never to use the cards together. Four immortal brothers and sisters, four archons, leaping through time, consumed in an epic struggle to influence and shape the history of Western civilization. From Moses' challenge to the Pharaoh to the origin of the Grail myth; from the Pope's extermination of the Cathars to Nostradamus' travels in Italy; from the Spanish Armada and the Great Fire of London to Napoleon's conquest of Egypt; and finally to the Angel of Mons appearing over the trenches of World War I. A secret occult history of the world told in seven chapters. Collects the first SECRET HISTORY series in preparation for the second, coming in 2010

The Rune stones were the Chalice, the Lance, the Sword, and the Shield.     The characters battle through time to get all the rune stones.   There is plenty of backstabbing and double crosses as history unfolds.    My favorite might be the fire of London.

The Signing with Taki Soma and Michael Avon Oeming

This was a great signing.  I took Kellan and Gannon they had a great time.  Gannon brought his sketchbook to show Micheal Avon Oeming.   Gannon and Kellan had a great time.

TFAW did a fantastic job putting this thing together.   This is the first time I was in the Hollywood store.   I really liked the layout.   And kellan found 1000 things to put on his x-mas list.  I think he liked the DCU Origins joker two pack the best.

We had a great time.   We then went to Jazzkat which had live music and a party.  The food was fantastic.

I found an Manga I liked Pluto by Osamu Tezuka

I almost never read Manga. I read the description, it sounds fantastic. I try it out. I cannot connect with and give up. This happens every 6 months or so.

And then there is the Manga I think sounds great, like Lone Wolf and Cub. But there at 33 volumes to read. Yikes...I give up.

But I started my Manga Trial again with Pluto by Osamu Tezuka. This was fantastic. Without any spoilers. There was a robot murdered. And there were several stories about the investigation.   All of the stories were really interesting and engaging. Check it out.

I ordered the next one...from the library.   Can't wait.

Jurassic Park: Redemption by Bob Schreck

IDW Publishing  announced the launch of Jurassic Park: Redemption.   Normally I would have been so-so on this type of title.   But after listening to the interview with Bob Schreck.    I really want to check it out.

Bob Shreck's earliest jobs in comics was art director at Comico.  For much of the 1990s Schreck was an editor at Dark Horse Comics, and went on to found Oni Press in 1997. Then he went over to work as an editor at DC Comics, where he worked on the Batman comics and the All Star titles.

 Check it out.

Check out Sif by kelly sue deconnick

It sounds awesome.   Support Portland Artists.   Sounds like Beta Rea Bill comes to Earth and needs Thor's Help.   Sif takes his place.  Butt kicking can begin now.

She has a Zantanna short in Girl comics #3.  Which I will be picking up.

In using these internets you learn a lot about the general population

They have relationship problems.  Are pregnant, have a hernia and issues with their ipod.

Oh...we have a problem.....

Look out Doctor Who fans.  Look what NASA found in the middle of the Milky way at the constellation Sagittarius.   Does anyone have a Tardis we can investigate this with.

Thanks to the posters on Gallifrey Base.

Dr Who and Companions !!!

This is the best of both worlds Jesse Hamm over at Periscope Studios has Drawings of the Doctor  and the companions for Sale.

It got something for every one.

• an alien genius
• a goddess
• undersea royalty
• A guy from the 50's
• A dragon
• An ape with a machine gun

Sadly it has been.  Canceled.  More than once...

FOLLOWUP: Comics Workshop @ Cosmic Monkey.

Gannon and Kellan just got back from their class at cosmic monkey.  They fell asleep in the car.    The first session was Intro Comics.  They looked at a bunch of different comics.    Learned about the components that make up a comic.   Both of them came home with their own comic.   They had a great time and are really excited about the next lesson.

Highly recommend.

Thanks Katy and Blue.
